How to Activate a New Kohl’s Charge Card Online

If you log in to the company’s website with a computer, you can activate a card. However, there are restrictions if you use a mobile device.
Register Online for Kohl’s Charge
Kohls.com, the online retailer for Kohl’s department stores, allows you to shop and order clothes and other products. Kohls.com is the online retailer for Kohl’s department store. Look for the My Kohl’s Charge button in the Account menu.

When you first sign up for Credit.Kohls.com you will be asked to register your Kohl’s charge account to get online access. You will need to provide your 12-digit Kohl’s credit card number when you register.
The password and username will be required. You will then be asked to choose three security questions.
These questions will be used as a security measure to verify your identity in case you forget your password or user name.

You should not attempt more than a few guesses if you believe you have a Kohl’s Charge Online account. After several failed login attempts, your account will be locked for several hours.
Your account will not be unlocked by Kohl’s Customer Service until the waiting period has expired.
Online activation of Kohl’s Credit Card
Kohl asks that you wait until your new card arrives by mail before activating it. After you receive your new card, log in to my Kohl’s Account. Kohl’s Charge Card.
To activate your Kohl’s Charge card, you must be either the primary owner or an authorized user.
Also, you must log in from a computer. Kohl’s says it is not possible to use a mobile device for activating charge cards.
Sign in to My Kohl’s Charge and then go to the Account Summary Tab. A question should appear asking you if you have a card that needs activation.
You should also see a button to activate your card. If you have an active card, the question and button will not be displayed. Follow the additional instructions to activate your card by clicking on the button.
The new Kohl’s Card can be used right away once it is activated. This can either be in the Kohl’s Store or online at Kohls.com.
When new cards are activated, old charge cards will be automatically deactivated and cannot be used again. Kohl suggests that you discard any cards that have been removed.

If you are unable to activate your new Kohl’s charge card, don’t be alarmed. The cashier will activate your card if you present the card with a photo ID at the time of purchase.
To activate your card, you can visit the Customer Service section at any Kohl’s store without having to make a purchase.
